We are honored to invite you to participate in the first local seminar within the project: ,, Migrant in intercultural Romania’’, implemented by the Intercultural Institute from Timișoara in partnership with the League for Defense of Human Rights, the Civic Resource Centre from Constanța, the Association for Defense of Rights and Social Integration Bucharest. The Seminar will take place on Thursday, 29th of November, at the Student’s Cultural House, Room 22, between 3 and 7 PM.
The Seminar is organized by the League for Defense of Human Rights and The Group of Bessarabian Initiative from Cluj-Napoca, within the 6th edition of the Bucovina Festival.
The seminar is entitled: “The reply of public institutions from Cluj-Napoca to the needs of immigrants from non-European countries”.
The seminar’s program contains 4 topics:
1. The non-EU immigrants’ needs and the role of the intercultural mediators in Cluj-Napoca.
– Presentation of the project Migrant in intercultural Romania and the concept of intercultural mediator- Ana Ludușan -LDHR president, Daniela Cervinschi, Ionela Răcătău.
– Needs and problems of non-EU communities from Cluj-Napoca- presented by the intercultural mediators from Cluj-Napoca:
Ali Shah- Pakistani Community, Cluj Intercultural Awareness Organization
Alex Jacho- Latin American Community
Yans Aimn- Palestinian Community, The Palestinian Association from Transylvania
Samir Moukhliss- Moroccan Community, The Moroccan-European Association
Cristina Răilean- Group of Bessarabian Initiative from Cluj-Napoca
2. The public institutions’ response to the needs that non-EU immigrants have concerning their education, health and legal stay in Cluj-Napoca.
